Fine Awards

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas....

One of the nice perks of blogging is that every so often awards are handed out from fellow bloggers.  Right before the craziness of Thanksgiving two fellow bloggers bestowed the honor upon me.  Now before I’m completely engulfed in the Christmas frenzy I wanted to pass on the awards and say thanks.  Oh, by the way, I’m dreaming of a white Christmas. How about you?

I want to say, “thank you” for being handed the Versatile Blogger award by Karen at Back Road Journal, http://backroadjournal.wordpress.com/.  If you’ve not checked out her blog, do so.  She writes an entertaining blog about food and travel.  I’m envious of her recent travels in Europe and her lovely homes in New Hampshire and Maine.  She probably will have some white stuff at Christmas.

Here goes: 7 things about me:  1. I once had a cat that lived to be 18 years old – the best cat ever. 2. I’m afraid of heights in certain situations and while in Switzerland I sat down on a path high in the alps and started to cry – I was so afraid (silly).  3. I’ve lived on both the east and west coasts, but always return to my home state, Texas.  4. Wine, water and coffee are my favorite drinks.  5. I’ve worked with pre-school children for 13 years, this will be my last.  6. I am 5’10” tall.  7. I think talking on a cell phone in public places is a no-no.
