Easy Almond Cake
- 1 stick butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons almond extract
- 2 Tablespoons sliced almonds
- Preheat oven to 325*F.
- Grease an 8x8 baking pan.
- Melt butter in a glass bowl.
- Beat eggs a bit and then beat into the melted butter.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Pour into prepared pan and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar, top with whipped cream or enjoy plain.
