Easy Almond Cake

Ingredients
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 2 Tablespoons sliced almonds
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325*F.
  2. Grease an 8x8 baking pan.
  3. Melt butter in a glass bowl.
  4. Beat eggs a bit and then beat into the melted butter.
  5. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  6. Pour into prepared pan and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar, top with whipped cream or enjoy plain.
