Figs on Friday
 
Preheat oven to 350*. Stir together 4 oz. chopped, cooked bacon or country ham; 4 oz. goat cheese, crumbled & softened; 1 Tbsp. finely chopped toasted pecans; and 1 tsp. chopped fresh thyme. cut 12 fresh figs in half.

  • Preheat oven to 350*
  • 4 oz. chopped, cooked bacon or country ham
  • 4 oz. goat cheese, crumbled & softened
  • 1 Tbsp. finely chopped toasted pecans
  • 1 tsp. chopped fresh thyme
  • 12 fresh figs
  • 1-2 tablespoons Honey
  • Baguette - sliced into small rounds
Instructions
  1. Stir together bacon or ham, goat cheese, pecans, and thyme.
  2. Cut figs in half.
  3. With a spoon or your thumb make a small indentation in the figs and stuff with the cheese mixture.
  4. Place on a baking sheet along with the baguette slices and bake for 7 minutes.
  5. Remove baking sheet from oven.
  6. Place one fig half on each bread slice and drizzle with honey.
